The Discrete and Continuous Materials (DiCoM) Group’s research focuses primarily on magnetic fluids or ferrofluids.
Analytical and computational approaches are used to study the equilibrium and non-equilibrium structure and dynamical behavior of these and other complex systems. Magnetic fluids are used in critical applications in the electronics and pharmaceuticals industries, among other, and it is essential to advance our current understanding -- on the one hand answering fundamental questions and on the other exploring new models and applications.
