Short Biography

Dr. Dyer received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Kansas State
University in 1996 with an emphasis on plant biochemistry and molecular
biology.  He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Swiss Federal
Institute of Technology in Zürich from 1996-1999 where he worked on
elucidating mechanisms of fat uptake in the small intestine.  He
currently holds the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of
Chemistry and Biochemistry at Montclair State University. Dr. Dyer’s
research interests involve studies on plant enzymology and molecular
biology and in particular involve work on the role of phospholipases and
thiolases.  Since starting at Montclair State he has received funding
from the American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund and from the
United States Department of Agriculture and has established an active
research program involving undergraduate students.
