Pascal's Triangle is such a fascinating resource in mathematics. It has been stated that the triangle can be alluded to "either as a gold mine or as an iceberg the former because the riches are there, but some ingenious labor is often needed; the latter because we shall perhaps never see more than a small percentage of the mass." This mathematical beauty is not only known for its many internal patterns, but also for its applications in several areas of mathematics. As there are so many intriguing aspects of Pascal's Triangle, the following discussion will focus on, what I believe to be some of its most interesting bits of information. Included within this discussion of Pascal's Triangle will be a brief history of Blaise Pascal and 'his' triangle, the construction of and a few patterns from within the triangle, and some of the triangle's applications in several fields of mathematics.
