Co-operative Education in Computer Science

Co-operative education provides an opportunity for students to gain work experience and explore career options while still enrolled at MSU. Students can earn up to sixteen units of academic credit for participation in co-op. Computer Science undergraduates may apply three credits of co-op towards their major.

Requirements

For undergraduates

Students must have completed a minimum of 80 credits with a minimum grade point average of 2.70. In addition, students should have completed the following computer science courses:

Computer Science students must also have completed a minimum of twelve credits of computer science and/or mathematics courses at MSU.

For Graduate Students

Graduate students in computer science may enroll in co-op. Since this is an undergraduate course, it may not be used for graduate credit. However, the co-op grade will be used in computing the student's grade point average.
